This morning’s breakfast is brought to you by Cooking Light 😀 which is where I found my inspiration…again!
They actually said to use grano, which is an Italian grain. But unfortunately I could not find it and it said that bulgur could be used. I used Bob’s Red Mill!
It was my first time trying bulgur and I was pleasantly surprised. It is kind of like rice but with a nuttier flavor and more of a crunch.
In my parfait:
•1/4 cup bulgur
•1/2 cup plain yogurt (I used Weight Watchers which has 9g protein, 4g fiber, and only 100 calories )
•fresh blueberries and strawberries
•drizzle of agave nectar!
Now that’s what I call breakfast 🙂
